The three-week laboratory practice of the Physiological Examination Methods course has been successfully completed
As part of the Physiological Research Methods course, first-year biology MSc students who chose the Neuroscience and Human Biology (IH) specialization participated in a three-week intensive laboratory internship this year as well. The 21 students worked in groups of three: 6 groups in the research laboratories of the Department, while one group did their work at the Department of Anthropology.

During the internship, the students learned about and tried out physiological and research methodological procedures that they usually do not encounter during the preparation of their diploma theses. They summarized the results of their work during the three weeks in a 15-20-page written report, and prepared a presentation in English, which they presented to the specialization instructors on March 6. The reports and presentations were also of excellent quality.

The joint work took place in a good atmosphere, which is also reflected in the group photo: everyone is smiling, as the three weeks brought valuable experiences both professionally and personally. Next year, the course will be transformed: the name of the internship will be Neurobiological Research Methods, it will no longer be mandatory for those choosing the IH specialization and it will be somewhat shorter. However, our goal remains to give students who choose the course a practical insight into modern neurobiological techniques that are outside their thesis topic.

We also congratulate the lecturers involved in this year's internship, as well as our participating PhD and MSc students, on the successful implementation and completion of the course!
